Thoroughly completed applications must be submitted to the Town Clerk's office ATLEAST five (5) business days before event. Applications received after the above date requirement will not be accepted.
The Town of Brutus must be named as an "Additional Insured" on the Insurance Certificate. Insurance coverage must be listed as $1,000,000. The insurance cerificate must indicate the fireworks event date and location.
Proof of current NYS Workers' Compensation and NYS Disability Insurance Coverage for the entity exhibiting the fireworks display is required.
Copies of a New York State License to Deal in or Manufacture Explosives is required. Copies of all licenses and/or permits issued by the Department of the Treasury--Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is required. Copies of any other licenses or permits pertinent to fireworks, may be required.
The official Fire Chief notification form must be completed and is required to be submitted with the Fireworks Permit application. The Weedsport Fire Department Chief must be notified of the fireworks event. A fire truck and crew must be on the premises to assist, if necessary.
UPON RECEIPT OF ALL ABOVE INFORMATION, THE TOWN SUPERVISOR WILL REVIEW AND ISSUE OR DENY PERMIT.
