This Commission provides recreational services for the youth of the Weedsport Central School District area and is funded by the Town of Brutus, Village of Weedsport, Weedsport Central School District and the Town of Cato.
Summer Recreation
Several free programs are offered during the summer seaon including: swimming, crafts and outdoor fun. Enhanced programs are also offered which require a fee. Some of these programs include: visits to Sea Breeze, Burnet Park Zoo, Reva Rollerdome and Bowling.
Ski Club
This is an enhanced program facilitated by the Commission when funds are available and the required number of participants are met.
How to Register
Children can participate by submitting a completed registration form signed by his/her parent or guardian. When registering for the enhanced programs the non-refundable participation fee is required when the application is submitted. Activity information and a calendar of events are generally available in early June.
Donations Accepted
Donations of supplies are always welcomed. The following supplies are welcomed: glue, construction paper, beads, scissors, paints, markers and crayons. They may be dropped off at the Town Municipal Building, 9021 N. Seneca Street, Weedsport during normal business hours. Monetary donations are also appreciated and checks may be made payable to the "Town of Brutus."
Fundraising
Various fundraisiers will take place throughout the year to help fund and expand the enhanced programs.
