§ 78‑1. Legislative authority; title.
This chapter is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9‑A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Town of Brutus."
§ 78‑2. Definitions and word usage. [Amended 5‑23‑1980 by L.L. No. 3‑1980]
The words and terms used in this chapter shall have the same meanings as such words and terms are used in Article 9‑A of the General Municipal Law, unless otherwise provided herein or the context requires a different meaning.
OFFICER ‑ The Cayuga County Sheriff.
TOWN‑ The Town of Brutus.

§ 78‑3. Games authorized; restrictions.
A. Games of chance may be conducted in the town by an authorized organization, after obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limitations of Article 9‑A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter.
B. In addition to the restrictions contained in § 189 of the General Municipal Law, the conduct of games of chance shall not be allowed on Sundays, except as set forth in § 195‑b.
§ 78‑4. Penalties for offenses. [Added 5‑11‑1992 by L.L. No. 2-1992]
Penalties shall be as set forth in Article 9‑A, § 195‑j of the General Municipal Law.
